Dr Harp Seal red pillow

Good evening friends.

Dr. Harp Seal is making a surprise appearance to wish everyone’s happy Halloween. He told me there’s a good shot candy will be on sale tomorrow, and that dentists love Halloween more than anyone, lol.

Have a great night friends.

Halloween – 2017

Halloween - 2017

Happy Halloween friends. And Happy Poppy Rocky Lucky Tuesday. A day filled with Hope and Possibilities.

Remember, if Poppy, Rocky and Lucky can make it, anyone can.

Also, if you remember, Poppy’s real name in the picture here, is Patrick. We named him after the late great Patrick Swayze.

For all our new friends, Poppy, Rocky and Lucky are 3 of our 7 dogs. They had a very tough start in life. Today, they’re a Wolfpack of 7 and thriving like any other dogs. That’s why we say today is a day filled with “Hope and Possibilities.”

OK, let’s kick this day off on the right foot.

— Today has a good shot of being a great day. Let’s give today a chance —

Day 1025 here in Puerto Rico. Yes, day 1025. Today is day 713 since we rescued Rocky, and day 175 since we rescued Lucky.

See you tonight friends.

Good morning friends.

Happy Poppy Rocky Lucky Tuesday. A day filled with Hope and Possibilities. Remember, if Poppy, Rocky and Lucky can make it, anyone can.

For all of our new friends – Poppy, Rocky and Lucky are three of our seven dogs. The odds of all us being together were zero, but it happened anyway.

Anytime you’re feeling a little down and defeated, think of their story to propel you forward. Nobody had the decks stacked more against them than they did. It shows us that love, faith and hope can trounce any odds.

OK, let’s kick this day off with two positive notions;

1. Just because I was like that doesn’t mean I have to say like that. Everyday is another opportunity to start anew. It’s never too late to start and it always too early to quit.

2. Every time an animal is rescued, a miracle is created. Rescuing an animal is a very spiritual experience.

Day 1018 in Puerto Rico. Yes, 1018. Day 706 since we rescued Rocky, and day 168 since we rescued Lucky.

Happy Tuesday friends. Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.

Poppy Rocky Lucky Tuesday

Good morning friends.

Happy Poppy Rocky Lucky Tuesday. A day filled with Hope and Possibilities. Remember, if the three of them can make it, anyone can.

For all of our new friends – Poppy, Rocky and Lucky are three of our seven dogs. Nobody had the decks stacked against them more than they did. It goes to show you that love, faith and hope can beat all the odds.

Anytime you’re feeling a little down and defeated, let the story of Poppy, Rocky and Lucky help propel you forward.

OK, let’s kick this day off with two positive notions.

1. Did I wake up today simply because oxygen is running through my body, or did I wake up to live?

2. What will I do differently today from yesterday, so tomorrow I’ll feel good about it ?

Day 1011 in Puerto Rico, yes, day 1011. Today is day 699 since we rescued Rocky, and day 161 since we rescued Lucky.

Columbus Day 2017

Columbus

Some have said the real Christopher Columbus is a 10 pound Pomeranian named Sammy. If that were the case, which it might be, shouldn’t today be called “Samopher Columbus Day?”

Happy Columbus Day friends.

Rest in Peace Punkin Marie

Rest in Peace Punkin Marie

Good evening friends.

Tonight we pay tribute to a magical Pomeranian, Punkin Marie. Punkin was a member of our great friend, Susan Joseph & family. She passed on October 6th, 2017 at 12 years old.

Punkin’s health started deteriorating in the first few days of October, and then rapidly declined. Showing mercy and saying goodbye was the only loving move left to make.

Susan is a major animal lover and Punkin Marie was her world. Punkin is the perfect depiction of why dogs are considered Man’s best friend. Punkin was Susan’s best friend, buddy and sidekick all at the same time.

As a human dad to 7 dogs, I hope to offer some consoling for such loss and heartache. Susan, you gave Punkin Marie a life filled with love and joy for 12 straight years. That’s nothing short of a miracle right there.

Sammy & Family thanks you for the life you gave Punkin. While Punkin is now gone, she’ll never be forgotten. The world is a better place because she was in it.

A random act of kindness may not change the world, but it changes the world for the recipient of that kindness. Susan showed that kindness to Punkin for 12 years and made her world.

In the words of Pope Francis, “One day, we will see our animals again in the eternity of Christ.”

No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen. Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.

2. When we do the right thing, the right things happen. What’s the right thing? — Whatever the wrong thing isn’t.

Tribute for Harold Kobner

Tribute for Harold Kobner

Good evening friends,

Tonight, we pay tribute to one of NYC’s finest, Mr. Harold G Kobner who passed away on Sunday September 24th.

If there was ever a real life “Everybody Loves Raymond”, it was Harold Kobner. Everybody Loved Harold.

This was truly shocking news. As many of you remember, I had just done a post about what a great real estate broker Harold was on September 16th, eight days before he passed. He was very active in the comment section of that post. Like I said, truly shocking news.

Harold had a very calming effect on people. Whenever I would go on a ranting tirade, he would calmly say, “Scott, do you want to give yourself a heart attack?” — And bam, I would instantly be at ease with a smile on face. From there, he would gracefully take the conversation into another direction so I wouldn’t feel embarrassed of how I just acted.

Whenever we would walk around the city together, I always felt like everything was going to be alright.

One of his best stories was of his mentor in his 80’s who used to tell Harold that if he could do it all over again, he would “worry less”

So friends , I’m passing this on to all of you, and all of Harold’s friends out here, “worry less”

As we all know, Harold was a great human dad to German Shepherd, Max. He loved that dog like I love my dogs. I’m very involved with animals as many of you know too. If anyone knows who’s taking Max, I’d love to connect with them and see that all is OK.

Harold, we love you. We’ll never forget you. The world is a better place because you were in it. Rest In Peace brother.

Amen. Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.
