The Solution for the Middle Chile Syndrome

Good morning friends.

Dr. Harp Seal here.  Thank you for stopping by.  So in the past we uncovered “The Middle Child Syndrome”  –  Today we are going discuss the solution for this syndrome.  This is a little bit of mad science if you will.  But as the late great Steve Jobs said back in 1997; “Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the one’s who see things differently”

OK, one solution for the middle child is for the parents to reach out to other parents who have an only child who is suffering from “The Only Child Syndrome”  — When these two kids comes together magic is created.  You see the parents of the only child have been pushing him or her to learn to share more, which is exactly what the middle child needs being kid number 1 and kid number 3 were always center stage.  I guess this is an example of where the slogan “Fits Like a Glove” comes from.

Have a great day.  Dr. Harp Seal for Sammy & Family

Sweet home Alabama

Sweet Home Alabama

Good evening friends.

We hope everyone had a nice weekend.  Tonight’s post comes Alabama from our great friend Debra Bowers Gentile.  Debra has a soft spot for animals with the best of them.  Lets hear her Debra talk on three companions.

LeeLee my baby, is the oldest and her mama’s shadow. I have had her since she was 3 months old , she is now 8.  Then there is Gizmo, the Boss.  Not sure how old Gizmo is . He is my bodyguard.

Then we have Weezie (sweet girl) she is 4 years old. She came into my yard as a stray with a hurt paw, when she was about 6 months old . This is the sweetest, most loving, happiest dog I’ve ever seen. She talks to you in the morning when you get up because she is so happy you are awake. When you come home she is all beside herself with joy. She picked a good home to show up at and has brightened my life ever since.

Great stuff Debra.  Yes Weezie was a lucky girl to come strolling through your yard. What a miracle that is.  What were the odds ?

Sammy & Family thanks Debra for making the world a better place, three animals at a time. Keep us posted my friend.

A friendship starts with a simple “Hello”

Hello on July 18th, 2015

Good morning friends.

We can make a lot of friends with a simple “hello.” I learned this in NYC real well. You can turn an angry looking commuter into a friendly person by just saying hello.  I know this because I used to be the angry commuter.

Many a times strangers would say “good morning” or “hello”to me and I would say to myself; “What the heck is this guy so happy about?”  After several years in the city I knew it was me that was standing upside down and not them.  Eventually I converted to the “Hello’s” and starting having a lot more friends.

90 percent of success and happiness is just showing up. If some people don’t like me, its none of my business.  I will make other friends.

Sammy & Family and The Smith Family wishes everyone a wonderful Saturday.

Tonight we say goodbye to a fallen angel named Buttons

Buttons

Good evening everyone.

Jessica Smith here. The weekend is finally here. We really hope that the week went well for all of you, and that you have a very relaxing few days ahead, surrounded by those you love the most. Enjoy these last few weeks of the warmer weather while you can. Get outdoors as much as possible. We are getting further into the fall, and the colder weather is not far off.

Tonight our very dear friend, Joan Kutchmanich  and her Brother and family,  are nursing a broken heart. Joan has written a beautiful tribute to her Brothers Cat, Buttons below. We send them our love and prayers at this very difficult time. Please take a moment to read her tribute below.

“My brother’s kitty, Buttons went to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday afternoon. She was a beautiful kitty. He found her as a stray that somebody just left off. He spotted her In a yard behind his house.  He put out some food and Water for her. The next day the same but only closer. Soon she went into the home he had built fo another two strays. They found homes. So no one was in the kitty house. It even had a heated pad. After a couple of months he found out she had been declawed. Then he brought her inside . She stayed in the enclosed porch. She had a warm place to stay. He kept the door open so she could come into his tv room. She liked to sit on his lap. At night he kept the door closed because his wife is allergic to cats. He took really good care of her. She was with him for 4 years. He thought she was a few years old but the vet said she was in her teens. I was there for his 25th wedding party.

I sat with her for a while , petting her and giving some comfort.  I knew she was very sick. I kept petting her and gave her a kiss on her little head. I knew it would be the last time I would see her. There was nothing more the vet could do, and they said it was time . My brother held her while she went to the Rainbow Bridge. We are all heart broken. My brother’s name is Michael. He gave Buttons a very good home and life. He made sure she had every comfort. And I’m sure he will rescue another kitty. Thank you for reading this.”

We’d like to thank Joan for this very loving tribute ❤️. God bless Buttons.

Have a lovely night everyone.
No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed.
️Amen.

Love from,

Friday is Genius, he always shows up on time

Friday is a Genius

Good morning friends.

Friday is a Genius.  He always shows up on right on time. It’s great to be alive on September 18th, 2015. OK, I have a lot of Nothing to do today but nonetheless let’s go straight to our Positive Notions for the day.

1 .Today is a gift. Scott I am so sick of you saying that. I agree its annoying. However we must remember lot of people that were here with us yesterday, are no longer with us anymore. That’s how I know today is a gift.

2. I just want to be happy. Even if that Notion gets started by cutting things out of my life that make me unhappy, well that’s a start then.

TGIF friends. See you tonight. Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.

Home is Where the heart is

Home is where the heart is

Good evening friends.

It’s great to be here with everyone tonight.  I was in Long Island, NY the last two nights.  Its great to be back in Puerto Rico.  I had some family business to attend to which was not pretty but I’m confident we got the job done.

I missed the crew here in Puerto Rico and I missed ELS a lot.  I know it was only 48 hours but nonetheless i was thinking about everyone the whole time.  Anytime I think of family as a concept, not just mine, i mean in general, it makes me thinks of that movie “Family Man” with Nicholas Cage, and the movie “Click with Adam Sandler”

Two very powerful movies that went slight under the radar.  I really recommend these two movies in a major way.  Despite being two different movies, they each showed a version of a man who was confused between one kind of life or the other.  Through these both movies you can really get clarity on what’s important and what can happen if you forget that, or take things for granted.

Just something I wanted point out, i can’t stress enough how great these two movies are.   So as I mentioned Jessica is going to start handling the night posts again now that our affairs in NY are at an have come to an end in terms of anything left we can do.  Point is she has more time to write the evening posts again.

We have a great feature coming up on “The Good News Channel” and I have few good leads on some other great features I’m trying to land.  I’m sure everyone was holding their breath on that one. My friends Jess and I have some great new things in the pipe and we’re going to keep broadening out the writing.  So lets total to new directions and endeavors on the horizon.

Lastly friends and family of ELS, whether we go this way or that way, “thoughts & prayers” are always welcome.  Sammy & Family and the Smith Family hold our evening posts sacred for animals and people around the world in need of prayers.
