It’s the most Wonderful time of the year

Feel free to listen to audio, or read the post; “Its the Most Wonderful time of the Year” right below the audio. Thank you.

Good evening friends.

Scott Smith here for Sammy & Family.  Being its the most wonderful time of year, we figured to take it back to NYC, because New York City is the Christmas Capital of the world.  As you all know the Christmas Tree is located in the heart of Rockefeller Center towering over a beautiful ice skating rink.

If you ever were skeptical about Magic, you wont be once you have experienced this live. No City on Earth does Christmas like the big apple.

This Tradition at Rock Center dates back all the way to 1933.  The Skating rink was built in 1936.  Today, in 2015, 83 years later, the tree stands at 80 feet high entertaining people from all over the world.

During the Holiday Season alone, up to 750, 000 come see the tree in person. Its literally the size of an 8 story building decorated to the hilt.  over 500,000 people walk by the tree everyday.

Million and millions of people from around the world tune into the Christmas Tree lighting Ceremony ever year.

Friends, I’m not a big traveler as you know.  Had I Not grown up in NY, visiting NYC during Christmas time would be number 1 on my bucket list starting immediately.

Goodnight everyone.  See you tomorrow.

Goodnight from Sammy & Family on December 16th, 2015

Sammy & Family on Dec. 16th, 2015

Good evening friends.

Thank you for stopping by. Life was good today on December 16th, 2015. It didn’t have to be that way, Thank God that it is. Sammy boy came by to say goodnight to everyone.  Well the Christmas countdown is on.  Even though we all know the count has been on since Thanksgiving.  Its a season of feeling blessed and grateful.

I’m very blessed for my family, friends, and 6 dogs.  I am extremely grateful that Rocky walked up to me and my 3 boys on November 19th, 2015 and just decided to join our family. He really didn’t ask, he just joined it. He is extremely special. I love him to death.  With said, I have black and blues all over my body from wrestling with him each day. I kid you not, Rocky is like a mini horse. He is so playful and at the same time as strong as a tank.  So in so facto, I am literally wrestling with a tank.

OK, lets close up shop here with two positive notions.

1. The first one I will take. “Tomorrow I will start my diet” lol.

2. If anybody is experiencing some holiday blues, connect with me on email and i will do my best to give you a boost…

Signing off from Puerto Rico on day 342.  Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.

I’m Just a Pops whose Intentions are Good

Pops' intentions

Good morning friends.

Happy Poppy Tuesday.  A day filled with Hope and Possibilities. Remember, if the Pops can do it, anyone can. Day 341 here in Puerto Rico. If my math serves me correctly, I believe that is coming up on a year.

Having lived in NY for 45 years, and now about a year in PR, I am going to give myself a C+ in terms of my transition. The reason I cant give myself a higher grade is because I don’t know any more Spanish then I did a year ago.  And that is just Not acceptable.  My New Years Resolution is to practice Spanish a minimum of 5 minutes a day.  I mean, if I can’t do that, I should just wrap it up, lol.

OK, lets kick this Tuesday off with two positive notions.  The first is song based.

1. ♫♫♫ I’m just a “Pops” whose intentions are good, oh Lord, please don’t let me be misunderstood ♫♫♫

2. If some people don’t want to be friends with me, that’s OK.  I don’t need to fixate on that. I will meet other people and make new friends.

See you tonight friends. Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.

Christmas Tree and Kelly

a Christmas Tree and Kelly

Goodnight dear friends and family.

This is Jessica writing to you tonight from New York. I hope you’ve all had a nice Monday. To be honest I can’t get over the weather here. I would swear it was spring based on the warm temperatures, if I didn’t already know that it was mid December. My brother Scott would definitely like this type of ” Winter”. Many people love that it’s still warm out, but I also know that many like me are hoping for a white Christmas this year.

I have to tell you that having the light of our Christmas tree sparkling makes such a difference to a home. It brings the most wonderful feeling to just see it there on the side of this otherwise ordinary room. Of course my Menorah is also lit up. Both sides of our heritage are always a part of me and my children’s holidays, and I love them both. 8 nights of lights and a glowing tree. What could be more beautiful.

I know those of you that celebrate are seeing the beauty all around you as well. In your own home, in the Homes of others, or out on the street. I’ve seen some of your decorations in my newsfeed and they are all just gorgeous. Although we are at different locations, it’s so nice to be able to come together this way. It’s amazing how the Internet makes this all possible. It’s wonderful to be able to see you all with your families and friends enjoying this special season. If we could all put our lights together, we’d be like the stars, endlessly lighting up the sky.

I hope you all have sweet dreams tonight. I’m sending you love from my family to yours. Goodnight everyone.

No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen.

With love from,
Jessica Lee Smith,
For Sammy & Family
