Good evening friends.

Thank you for stopping by. We hope everyone had a nice day today.  It is great to be alive today on February 11, 2016.

Often I have to remind myself that a non climatic day does Not mean it was without quality. Its the little things that make up a day. When I look back on any given day and see a lot of peace, I feel grateful. We don’t have to be in a whirlwind to know we are alive. That is another class that took me over 30 years to learn.

Did you know you can become addicted to Chaos?  I mean people who literally bring storm to their own boats when all was going smoothly just to feel alive. Today I know that is not how to live. It never was. Today I can feel alive simply by concentrating on my breathing. Today I can feel alive by helping someone else. Leave the storms for Mother Nature. Life will throw enough challenges our way.

If bringing storms to your boat rings a bell, you might want to rethink things and regroup. You could be inverted like I was.  The best way to get yourself right side up is to slow down and look around. We don’t need to be rushing to meetings we don’t actually have. Sometimes the thought of sitting with ourselves is overwhelming, but the action of sitting with ourselves is actually soothing.

Lets quote FDR from back in 1933;  “The only thing to Fear is Fear itself” — Now is that a timeless quote or what ?

Rocky on February 11th, 2016

Rocky on February 11th, 2016

Good morning friends.

Rocky wanted to come by and wish everyone a beautiful day.  Thank you life for this gift of today. Each day we wake up gives us a chance to reset and start anew.

Day 398 here in Puerto Rico, and day 85 since we rescued Rocky.  Boy oh boy is he getting strong. Its at the point where Vanessa and I both have to be involved to get his harness on him.  If one of us tried to do it alone, it would take at least 15 minutes, and that’s assuming he will allow it, lol.

Pit Bulls are extremely strong. Even his head is like a giant muscle.  The good news is that they are very sweet too.  We were all really fortunate to have found each other.

While we may not be a conventional family, there is a lot of love in this house.  As a result of all that love, our 6 dogs feel very secure.  And that’s good.

Let’s kick this day off with two Positive Notions.

1. If we want to something to change, we have to change something. If we are afraid to change it, that’s OK, but we must take an action.  What is Not OK is to acquiesce and settle for something we don’t want.

2. If I am the designer of my day, I choose to design a good day. Either we create our day, or our day will create us.

Driving towards dreams

Good morning friends.

We are cruising right through the week here. Now grant it this car is stationary but it still manages to illustrate the cruising principal.

It’s great to be alive on February 10th, 2016. It didn’t have to be this way. Thank God that it is. We want to wish everyone a fantastic day today.  Let’s give today a chance, it might be the greatest day of our lives, you never know.

OK, lets kick this Wednesday off with two Positive Notions.

1. I did my best and my best is always good enough.

2. Where there is a will, there’s a way. Keep on keeping on.

Good morning friends.

Happy Poppy Tuesday on February 9th, 2016. A day filled with Hope and Possibilities. Try to remember, if the Pops and Rocky can do it, anyone can.

In life sometimes we feel like the deck is stacked against us, that’s where Faith comes in. Faith is knowing things will get better, maybe starting as early as right now. Let’s give today a chance.

Let’s close out with two Positive Notions;

1. Ever day we wake up, we are a day closer to whats bothering us, Not bother us anymore. Let that moment help propel you forward.

2. I don’t need to be right, I just want to be happy. Of course if we can both, well that’s just gravy then.

A Doctrine for Animals

Good evening friends.

Thank you for stopping by.  Tonight’s blog post is an organized list of many of our Animal Quotes that struck a chord with the world in one concise post.

Good morning friends.

Thank you for stopping by.  Day 392 here in Puerto Rico.  Being we are deep into our lives in Puerto Rico now, I figured its time to give my dogs their Puerto Rican names as well. As you all know my Puerto Rican name is Carlos Rodriquez.

So here is Henry’s Puerto Rican name; “Henrican”  Let me know what ya”ll think ? :)
