Prayers for Dixie May Doxie March 22, 2013

599618_595721373791396_1988384495_nGoodnight dear friends and family. The weekend is here. Enjoy it and please stay safe. Once again, we rejuvenate our minds and body’s, after a full week of work and obligations.

We have a special prayer tonight for our little friend, 3 yr old, Dixie Mae Doxie , a precious little 9lb, special needs Dachshund, recently adopted by our dear Friend Jaye Lewis and her whole family. They found her at a wonderful Rescue organization, who had saved her from a Puppy Mill.

We had asked for prayers about a week ago, because she was suffering from seizures and the family was very worried.

Dixie lived her first years, in a terrible Puppy Mill life. This poor baby was used over and over, to produce puppy litters, while living in inhumane conditions, in a cage, with no human love or interaction of any kind.

After 3 days of testing in the hospital , a full body X-ray revealed Dixie to have many discs problems along her spine, that was likely caused by trauma . The most shocking find, was a large bullet logged inside of her fragile, little body. Their Doctor does not know if it will ever be operable. It is just above her heart and on her spine.

They are now giving her pain management medicine to ease her suffering. For the rest of her life she will have spine and liver problems.

Dixie suffers from is intensified fear of everyday sounds and even unfamiliar facial expression, while simply playing. It’s no wonder she feels this way, following the unimaginable way that she was treated, for the first 3 yrs of her life. After that Puppy Mill owner felt he had used her up, in an attempt to kill her, he shot her but by some miracle, she survived.

Thank God she was rescued. Luckily for all, God stepped up and sent his angels, the Lewis’s to be her family. They are devoted to spending every day proving to her that she is finally safe and very loved.

We pray that Dixie is free of pain and that healing surrounds her. We pray that her little heart mends quickly in the arms of those who are her family now. If love could cure her, then she would surely be in perfect health. May God protect Dixie and all of her family. You can follow her story on her FB page, Dixie Mae Doxie.

We pray for all the innocent angels still imprisoned in these puppy mills. This is a total disregard for life. God did not put these beautiful creatures here to suffer this way. We pray for an end to Puppy Mills everywhere. Adopt , don’t shop. There are far too many homeless animals. They need our help. Lets help in any way that we can. If you have room in your life, save a life. In return you will receive the priceless gift of unconditional love.

And to ALL of Gods most precious beings, the animals, domestic and wild. May they all be loved beyond measure and always met with gentleness. God bless and protect them. No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen.

Love from,
