Goodnight dear friends and family.

This is Jessica Lee Smith writing to you tonight. Happy Friday night to all of you. Before i get into my message, please try not to be distracted by my brother’s bedroom eyes.  It’s caused him a great deal of trouble in his life.  He is wearing glasses to detour some of the allure.  Thank you Scott, that is very gracious of you.

If you’re going out tonight, be sure to stay safe out there. Always stay aware of your surroundings. Never leave your drink unattended, and please never ever drink and drive. Also, it’s always better to travel in “packs”. It’s safer to walk down the street with at least one other person, if not more.

If you’re staying in tonight, rest well. It’s been a long week. I hope you have a wonderful evening with your loved ones, two legged and four. Spend this weekend doing what you enjoy most, and try to take in some of this magnificent scenery we are surrounded by.

Thank you all so much for the support, love and encouragement that you’ve shown my brother, myself, and my whole family. It means more to us  than you could ever know. We love you all. You’re such a blessing to us.

Happy Haturday on August 29th, 2015

Good morning friend and happy Haturday. Remember, Henry + Saturday = Haturday. So from “Henry the Soldier of Love” — He wishes everyone a wonderful Haturday.

Thank you life for letting me live on August 4th, 2015

Good evening friends.

Tonight I would like to Thank God for letting me participate in life on August 4th, 2015.  I can speak for anyone else but without the man upstairs I was a walking dead man.

OK, so tomorrow morning we have the full feature from The Empire State Building’s Illuminating Light Show of Endangered Species from this past Saturday night. It will be featured on “The Good News Channel” — Folks, wait until you see more of these larger than life images of our beloved animal friends and read the full story on this event.  August 1st, 2015 will go down in history of one of those most historic NYC nights ever.  The history books will speak of this for hundreds of years to come.  OK, but that is tomorrow.

Let’s talk today and tonight. We hope everyone had a fabulous Poppy Tuesday.  I am so in love Poppy its insane. He eats out of my plate, drinks water out of my glass.  Anytime Vanessa says: “Do you realize there are germs in that water from Patrick.?”  I respond with, “Do you realize the chandelier on the ceiling can fall and crack our skulls open at anytime? — Vanessa do you realize we can get hit by a car every time we walk outside?”

I told her, I don’t sweat the small stuff, if Patrick has some germs, and I catch them, I’ll live.  It makes him happy, and that makes me happy.  The rest is in God’s hands.

OK, lets close with two Poppy notions tonight;

1. Everybody has “The Poppy Chance”  — He represents Hope and Possibilities.  And man did I need those two words over the years.

2. I remember when Vanessa and I first got him, it was incredible. And he was so eager to please us so he would not be sent away again.  He didn’t realize if hell freezed over that was Never happening.  But in September of 2013, hell did freeze over and it was almost lights out for me.  The point is not to bore anyone with a story you heard many times, but I knew when i woke up after six days under, it was Patrick’s Heart that was breaking.  I knew Sammy & Henry were going to OK.  They were shaken up yes, but they had been with me a while.  Patrick was with us only 3 weeks before i went down for the count.  When I made it home alive, I never let that little boy out of my sight again. My bond with Patrick is unbreakable and unshakable.  Madly in love with my little boy.

Poppy Tuesday, a day of Hope

Good morning friends.

Welcome to Poppy Tuesday, a day of Hope.  Today has great possibilities written all over it.  Anytime I get in a little rut I have to remind myself the story of Poppy.  If he can do it, so can I.  Little Patrick is truly the quintessential underdog, pun intended.

OK, let’s get this day started with two positive notions;

1. The Acronym for Hope is; “Hopeful Opportunities Presented Everyday”

2. I’m going to keep and open mind, open heart and I’m going to remain focused.

Here’s  a picture of a  little Pre birthday party fun with the crew.  As you can see Jeffrey is as sweet as they come.  It was a treat having him for my birthday this year.  This was real nice moment for all of us.

Life is good today on May 26th, 2015.  Tip of the day; We all deserve a nice day today.  Give today a chance.

Good evening friends.

Friday came right on time as it always does.  It’s great to be here with everyone.  Beautiful day in Puerto Rico today.

So tonight Jeffrey will lead us out.  He is still somewhat nervous around cameras, but away from that he is so happy and such a joy.  We love him to death.  I wish you all can see his smile and personality away from the camera.  Vanessa and I will have to catch him one day in a candid moment.

Anyway, We hope you all had a nice day.  I’m feeling a lot of love here tonight on the platforms. Not sure if its the Prozac, or because its the weekend, or just feeling good in general, but I’ll take it.

Life is good today for Jeffery on April 10th, 2015.  It did’t have to be that way, thank God that it is.

The boys welcome you to the weekend

Good evening friends.

Its great to be here with everyone tonight.  The weekend showed up right on time as it always does.  Day 62 here in Puerto Rico.  Life was good today on March 13th, 2015.

Vanessa and I hope to see everyone on the timeline in the morning for the big day.  No pressure of course, only if its easy for everyone.  Just a reminder for anyone who might have missed it, Sammy is turning 10 years old tomorrow.

I will have a nice story about him and I in the morning that I’m excited to tell.

Nasdaq 5000 and Sammy & Family 15 Years in the Making

The Nasdaq 5000 and Sammy & Family's Journey

Good evening friends.

Today was an historic day on Wall Street. The Nasdaq Composite went over 5000 for the first time since March of 2000. Please take a walk back with me 15 years ago. This is the origin of why Sammy & Family went into Social Media in 2010.

After years of being an assistant trader, I had finally been at the right place at the right time. I traded a lot of technology stocks from 1995 to 1999 with one of the largest private companies on Wall Street.  Now if you remember in the late 1990’s, the dot.com frenzy started and got so out of control that even Fed Chairman Greenspan warned of ” Irrational Exuberance”

Nonetheless the Nasdaq kept climbing feverishly in price through 1999 and all the way until March of 2000. Individual stocks were rallying 50 to 100 points a day. I was trading the craziest technology stocks through the biggest tech boom in history.   Continue reading →

Saturday Night With Papa Seeks

Patreeko and his new haircut

Good evening friends.

Today we took Patreeko to get his haircut.  It was long overdue, and now he is running around free as a bird.  When we first arrived at the hair cutting place, the groomer asked, “Is his name Patrick or Patreeko?”  I said to him its both of them.  He said he had never heard the name Patreeko before.  He then asked,  where does it come from ?  I said its a long story that involves the late actor Patrick Swayze, so just call him Patrick or Patreeko.  The guy looked at me like I had 5 heads.  Lol.

Sammy & Family wishes everyone a great Saturday night.  We hope to see you bright and early tomorrow morning. Sunday morning is our favorite time of the week.  Its the one morning we let creativity back in the door and into our lives.
