Can a 10 pound Pomeranian become Potus ?

President's Day

Good morning friends.

A few hundred years ago people said there is No chance a 10 pound Pomeranian could ever be President of the United States.

People also said, “Even if a Pomeranian were to become president, which could Never happen, there is Zero chance he would ever be on Mount Rushmore as one of the Top 4 presidents in history

It goes to show you that hope, faith and love can defy all odds.

Happy President’s day friends.

Poppy Rocky Tuesday on February 7th, 2017

Good morning friends.

Happy Poppy Rocky Tuesday. A day filled with hope and possibilities. Remember, if the Pops and Rocky can make it, anyone can.

Nobody had the deck stacked against them more than the Pops and Rocky. Love, faith and hope can trounce any odds.

OK, being today is the day of hope, let’s kick it off with two positive notions.

1. It never feels like the right time, but it’s always the right time to pursue what we love.

2. In order for something to change, we have to change something. Osmosis only works in the movies. In real life, we have to take an action.

Good morning friends.

Happy Poppy Rocky Tuesday. A day filled with Hope and Possibilities. Remember, if the Pops and Rocky can make it, anyone can. Nobody had the decks stacked against them like Poppy and Rocky did.

The odd were zero that all of us would end up together. But it happened anyway. The reason it happened is because Hope, Faith and Love trounce all odds.

When we combine Hope, Faith and Love, we are an unstoppable force.

Let’s remember, on any given day, anything can happen. All we have to do is keep an open mind and heart and let life work it’s magic.

Is your mind positioned to receive some magic today ?

Day 717 here in Puerto Rico and day 405 since we rescued Rocky.

Sincerely, Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.

Its funny how conditioned we can become. Anytime its Tuesday, I can feel the Zeal in the air because of Poppy Rocky Tuesdays.

Day 568 here in Puerto Rico and day and day 258 since we rescued Rocky.

OK, lets kick this day off with two actionable notions.

1. Just because I was like that, does Not mean I have to stay like that. Today is a new day and another chance to be the best version of ourselves.

2. Let’s use the word “We” more and less “Me”.  There is no “I” in Team.

Have a fantabulous Tuesday. Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.

Poppy Rocky Tuesday on July 26th, 2016

Good morning friends.

Happy Poppy Rocky Tuesday. A day filled with Hope and Possibilities. Remember, if the Pops and Rocky can make it, anyone can.

As you can see, Rocky wants his breakfast right now. Its incredible to see him so healthy and confident. We rescued him off the street 251 days ago. He was so frail that day on November 19th, 2015, that I thought he was just going to fall over from exhaustion. Rocky had also been infested with large ticks. Some of them were even in his ears. It broke my heart meeting him that day in such horrible conditions.

But here we are 251 days later, and Rocky is as healthy and happy as a clam. And knowing that has mended my heart.

Rocky and I are best friends. Thank God life decided that him and I needed to meet about 9 months ago.

Good morning friends.

Mr. Pops here. Happy Poppy Rocky Tuesday. A day filled with Hope and Possibilities. Remember, if the Pops and Rocky can make it, anyone can.

The decks were completely stacked against them and yet we’re all here together in Puerto Rico.

OK, let’s kick this Tuesday off with two Positive notions.

1. It’s OK to be upset, it’s not OK to quit.  The caveat here is to make sure its what you really want. If it’s not what we really want, then its OK to fold.

2. Its great to be alive on June 7th, 2016. We have to remember that many people that were here with us yesterday, are no longer us. We owe it to them and ourselves to be grateful we are alive.

Savannah and Frankie

Savannah and Frankie

Good evening friends.

We have a very heart warming story tonight. Say hello to Little Savannah. Her mother Jennifer reached out to us to share her daughter’s story. Savannah has Pervasive Developmental Disorder, also known a Atypical Autism. It’s a form of autism that she developed as an infant which causes her to be significantly impaired socially and with communication.

As Jennifer did learned more about Autism, it has been said that autistic children bond well with animals. Jennifer started taking Savannah to the animal shelter several times a month but still not much of a connection with any of them.

Then about two years ago, then went to the shelter again and Savannah was drawn to a big black fluffy dogs with pointy ears. Jennifer and Savannah adopted this dog and named him Frankie. Savannah would reach out to pet him, hug him and kiss him. Things she would never do before. She had a real soulful connection with Frankie. After reading this post, please see the video link to witness how much this dog Frankie, lifted Savannah’s spirits.

Sadly, several months ago Frankie developed some strange symptoms: mainly scratching the air near his head, and his legs would give out on him randomly. After a visit to the vet, it was determined that he has syringomyelia. It is caused by a partial blockage of the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. As a result, pressure builds  and the fluid is pushed into the spinal cord where it forms fluid pockets called “syrinxes”, damaging the spinal cord. Affected dogs can suffer significant pain, weakness, incoordination and even paralysis.

Jennifer spent thousands for an MRI, steroids, anti-convulsants, medication for pain and swelling, and all of the vet follow-up visits.  However, Frankie is getting worse. He is in dire need of a surgery which will cost approximately $7500. Jennifer has come up with $3500 dollars but is still $3900 dollars short. If anyone can spare any surgery funds for this little trooper, your money would go very far.

Jennifer does not want anyone donating for her, only donate for the sake of her daughter Savannah and Frankie.  Here is the link if you would like donate; https://fundanything.com/en/campaigns/savannah-and-frankie

Good morning friends.

Happy Poppy Rocky Tuesday. A day filled with Hope and Possibilities. Remember, if the Pops and Rocky can make it, anyone can.

I love Poppy Rocky Tuesday. It reminds me that anything is possible. It really is true what they say, “Where there is a will, there’s is away”

OK, lets kick this day off with two positive notions.

1. We do the best we can with what we have. Taking anything personal is counterproductive.

2. Today has a great shot to be a good day. Let’s give today a chance.

Poppy Rocky Tuesday evening on May 10th, 2016

Poppy Tuesday on May 10th, 2016

Good evening friends.

Thank you for stopping by. We hope everyone had a nice Poppy Rocky Tuesday. Life was good today on May 10th, 2016.

In continuing the spirit of Poppy Rocky Tuesday’s, we will stay with the theme of Hope and Possibilities. I really have come to love Tuesdays. Hope is an incredible resource in this life. Let’s take a closer look at why Hope is so important.

When someone feels down and out and in total despair, they feel hopeless. They don’t see a way out. And yet another person, with the same circumstances, feels hopeful. So its no surprise whose life is on the upswing and whose is not.

How do you get hope if you feel hopeless ?  That is the million dollar question. The answer can be many things.  But to name a few; a great night sleep can do miracles for your perspective. Reaching out to family or a friends can lift someone’s spirits. Just a few key words or phrases from the right person can changes a person’s thinking in an instant.

Taking it slow until you feel grounded again. Nobody needs to make life altering decisions when we feel so down. When we realize that, it takes the pressure off of trying to rebound to quickly. Taking a walk helps. They say when we move muscles, we can change our thoughts. Also is important is take deep breaths.

Small tweaks, big gains. All of these tools are actionable, doable and effective.

We will see you in the morning.  Day 477 in Puerto Rico and day 167 since we rescued Rocky. Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.
