Time Marches on and so must we by Jessica Smith

Goodnight dear friends and family.

This is Jessica writing to you tonight. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. It’s absolutely beautiful outside.

A lot has happened in the past month. In fact it’s been a while since things have been peaceful.  As many of you can relate, sometimes it feels like just when we climb over one hurdle in life, another seems to comes around the corner. And with all of this, we have to just take each one as they come, and give it our very best fight. I’ve learned to not get too swept over when I am faced with a new challenge. If I spend too much time on my knees from the shock of something, I can get lost in it. I have found that just proceeding ahead, even if I’m crawling, I can somehow make my way over it, inch by inch.

I know there are exceptions to this, of course. So never blame yourself or put a time limit on grief or pain.  The only way over it, is through it. However long that takes. Even if it’s forever, and even if you have to learn to live with a whole new reality, as in the case of losing someone dear to you. There are no rules. Go at your own pace. Nurture yourself always.

I don’t have the answers to everything at all. I am always learning each day,  just as we all are. The only thing that I always tell myself, and I’ve mentioned to all of you before, is that giving up is never an option. I try and think of myself as a soldier many times. Ready to fight anything that is thrown my way. Ready to give it my all. Wether I win or lose, I will always know that I fought and never gave in.

One thing that must remain always in our hearts,  is hope. There is always hope for a better day. There is always hope for all the dreams that we hold close. Never forget that.

Many prayers of love and healing to all of you tonight. May the new week ahead bring all new possibilities into your life.

No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed.
Amen.

Sammy & Family saying Goodnight on July 13, 2015

The path to a better world flows through the humane treatment of all animals

Good evening friends. It’s nice to be here with everyone. We hope everyone had a nice Monday. Landed in Puerto Rico 183 ago. Not really a number of any significance but that is the count at the moment.

It was nice to be part of life on July 13th, 2015.  I forgot if we ever broke Monday down into an Acronym. So I am going to wing it right here. “Magnificent Opportunities Now Delivered At You” — Not bad right ? Felt like i forced that one a little.

OK friends lets close with a thought for our animal friends around the world. “The Path to a better world flows through the Humane treatment of all animals” — I never got the memo that says people can play God or Mother Nature with respect to which animals live and which animals, die and by what numbers.

No lives will go in vain, no pain will go unnoticed. Amen. Dr. Harp Seal for Sammy & Family.

Goodnight from Sammy & Family on April 14th, 2015

Dr. Harp Seal with comments for our friends who recently lost their dogs / pets

Good evening friends.

Its great to be here with everyone.  We hope y’all had a nice Tuesday.

The past couple of weeks we had say goodbye to several dogs here in the community as we all read about, it’s never an easy decision to make.  I just want to comfort the the families who recently had to let  their angels go, sometimes its the only loving move left to make.  Mercy is an act of kindness.  To all our friends who just went through this, Sammy & Family would have made the same decision as you all did.

I know that doesn’t make us miss them any less, but take comfort in knowing you all gave them a great life and showed them mercy on the way out.  There is nothing more honorable than that.

To Amanda, Phyllis, Marie, Cindy and Dave, all of you made the world a better place one animal at a time.  Nobody can change everything, but everyone can change something.  And the 5 of you changed the world for those 5 dogs.  What can be more noble then that ?

No lives will go in vain, no pain will go unnoticed.  Amen.  Dr. Harp Seal for Sammy & Family.

Tonight We Pay Tribute to Peanut a Fallen Angel

Rest In Peace Peanut

Rest in peace Peanut

Goodnight dear friends. We hope that your day was a beautiful one.

Tonight we pay tribute to an angel, named Peanut. Our dear friend  Phyllis Black Wholihan has written to us and honored her baby very beautifully in the letter she sent us. Her sweet Peanut crossed the rainbow bridge just this past January.  Her heart is filled with love for her baby, and she misses her so deeply.

Here is some of what Phyllis wrote.

“Peanut was a mini schnauzer, and  an amazing friend and companion. She came into my family’s life in June of 2001, when my daughter Caitlin and I  rescued her from the pound, at the age of  4 or 5 years old, . My husband wasn’t sure about  a little dog, since he always had large dogs growing up,  but Peanut changed his mind when she jumped into his arms and kissed his face. From then on he was hooked!!!

She loved to go on walks and little trips with us , Peanut  was always at the family get togethers and loved people !!! When my mother-in -law was in a nursing home, we took Peanut . She became  great therapy for a lot of the older people there. She had her own board  on Pinterest; ” The Adventures of Peanut”,  where you could follow her on her walks and travels, with her and her friends !!! Her last post on Pinterest (with the pic of her silhouette standing on a rock with the clouds behind her) :  “I’m on my final adventure !!! This one I have to take by myself !!! My mom & dad are crying right now because they are so sad that I have to leave !!! But I am going to see my pals Max, Skip, Diesel, and Cooper !!! I can’t wait !!! We will run in the yards like we used to … Chasing squirrels and each other !!! I love and will miss my mom, dad, Caitlin , Sam, Brucey, & Grandma so much !!!! Thank you for the wonderful life you gave me !!! I LOVE YOU, Peanut.”

We lost a big piece of our hearts that day, January 14, 2015. In her memory we have adopted another little girl, a 6 year old schnauzer-doxie mix, who needs lots of love and understanding and she is getting all that and more. Her name is Gracie,  and she is learning to love and play like she should have when she was a little puppy.”

What a beautiful tribute Phyllis has written, directly from her heart. We send our love out to her, and to Peanut, who meant so much to so many. We know that Peanut is running happy and free, in a world more beautiful than any of us could ever even conceive of.  She missed her family very much,  but feels no pain, only joy. Until they all meet again, and are together forever.

No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen.

Tonight The World say Goodbye to a fallen angel named Ruby

Tonight we say goodbye to Ruby

Tonight we say goodbye to Ruby

Good evening everyone.

It is with a very heavy heart that we share with you tonight, the passing of an angel. We have prayed for Ruby before, because she was suffering from Cancer, and we were all hoping that a miracle would come. It wouldnt be the first miracle for her. Her life was full of miracles.

We learned about Ruby from one of our dearest friends, Joan, who adored her to no end. Ruby was Joans best friend, Alicia’s dog. Ruby had a difficult time in her earlier years.  She was found by two workers who heard her whimpers from  inside of a closet,  in a home that was about to be torn down . She was abandoned in that closet,  with the door shut. There was broken glass everywhere. Thank God for those workers. They called the right people, and Ruby was taken to the local animal shelter where she was saved. Alicia’s daughter, Candace was there helping out, and immediately took to Ruby. She took her home to Alicia, and Alicia fell in love with her. It was a blessing for all of them. Ruby was a miracle from the start. She loved her brother Cash so much,  and she also loved cats. The Kitty you see with her in this photo, is the one she loved the most.

Ruby was a very gentle and very loving dog. She hardly ever even barked. She gave so much love to everyone, and touched all who knew her. She was surrounded by love when she crossed over the rainbow bridge into heaven. She will be deeply missed.

Joans fondest memory of Ruby, in her own words was “When we were at a State Park  We were sitting side by side with my arm around her, and I gave her a kiss on her forehead and then she turned and gave me a kiss on my cheek . I will never ,ever forget that moment….. Rest in peace,  my sweet, precious Ruby. I will  always love you. Run free and be happy until we meet again.

We send out prayers of healing and love to Alicia, Candace and Joan. We ask God to be with them through this very painful time. And we also send out prayers to Ruby. You were so loved, and that love will live on, until you all meet again, on the other side of this world. Now you are young again, and free of any pain. You will be missed dearly. You will be remembered always.

No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen.

Goodnight from Papa-Seeks and Scott

Papa-Seeks came to say goodnight

Good evening friends.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.  This is me and Patreeko, my little boy.  I have a new name for him and I think it trumps all the other ones.  My new name for Patreeko is “Papa-Seeks”

Sammy & Family wishes all animals get a chance at a happy life.  Look at little Papa-Seeks here, he was a timid and insecure boy when we got him.  Now he’s filled with love and joy.  And what did Sammy & Family get in return ?  Papa-Seeks made our lives better.  We are all happier because of him.

Maybe we can’t change everything, but everyone can change something.  Papa-Seeks was one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done in my life, and certainly one of the most important.

Kelly and Henry Will Lead Us Out Tonight

kelly and Henry

Good evening friends.

It’s nice to be here with everyone tonight.  Hope you all had a nice day today. Kelly and Henry came to say goodnight. As you can see everyone is getting along just smittenly.

Sammy & Family prays for animals around the world to receive the care our pets do  in the ELS community.  Sadly we know this is not the case for too many animals.  The evidence has been proven over and over again that animals are sentient beings.

Life can be challenging enough for them trying to survive.  The last thing animals need is for people to stack the deck even further against them.  Seems so unfair to Sammy & Family.

No lives will go in vain, no pain will go unnoticed.  Dr. Harp Seal for Sammy & Family.

Molly Ann will Lead Us out Tonight

Molly Ann will lead us out tonight

Good evening friends.

Hope everyone had a nice day.  Tonight we have Molly Ann taking us into the weekend.  This sweet Kitty Cat is a member of Cynthia D. Webb and Family from West Virginia. Cynthia is one of our close friends.  We had the pleasure of meeting her when she visited NYC.  Good times.

Sammy & Family wants to wish all our friends on the East Coast warmth and safety.  We’ve seen its been a brutal couple of weeks weather wise.

And we will close with prayers for Bobby Kristina, Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston’s daughter.   The news is going back and forth with her being on life support and being taken off  life support. Its hard to know exactly whats going on. Needless to say it’s as dire as it gets.  This kid needs a break. Please God let her pull through.

Amen.  Dr. Harp Seal for Sammy & Family.

Bingo Will Lead Us Out Tonight

Bingo will lead us out

Good evening friends.

Tonight we have Bingo leading us out.  Bingo is a member of Barbara Storts and family.  He is 15 years old.  What a sweet little guy.  Barbara and family are from Austin Texas.

Sammy & Family wishes all animals were treated as well as Bingo, sadly this is not the case for too many animals.  We would like to thank Barbara for making the world a better place one animal at a time.  It’s all anyone can do.

The path to a better world flows exclusively through the humane treatment of all animals. No lives will go in vain, no pain will go unnoticed.  Amen.

Sammy & Family Takes a Moment For The Animal Victims Of Yulin China

Sammy & Family prayers for animal victims of Yulin China

Good evening friends.

We hope everyone had a nice day.

Sammy & Family would like to acknowledge the dog and cat victims of  The Yulin Festival in China.  We have spoken on this before.  I see it heating up again throughout social media.  It pains us a great deal knowing how scared and tired those animals must be awaiting a painful demise.  I don’t want to get into detail here but i don’t want to turn the other way either.

Sammy & Family thinks the people who participate in this Festival are as despicable as the one’s who organize it.  This is truly one of the most evil things taking place on Earth.  Each and every one of those animals means a great deal to us. They are not worthless and expendable.  The problem and blame is with the people, not the animals.  There only crime was being born into an unthinkable reality.
