Prayers for Gidget February 21, 2013

525152_581896358507231_1416261464_nGood evening dear friends and family. We hope your day went smoothly today and that every one arrived home safely. The weekend is around the corner and more unpredictable weather may be ahead.

Growing up only 11 months apart, my Brother Scott and I were always like-hearted and shared a very special bond. I always felt very proud of my big Brother and the kindness that was in his heart. Scott’s a stock trader and I am a stay at home full time mom.

“Everybody loves Sammy” was born because of the inspiration that Sammy brought to Scott in his darkest hours. So not only only is Sammy my Nephew, but he is the dog that changed my Brothers life. Sammy’s happiness and love for the world has always been very contagious. Scott has always gone on and on about how many people approached Sammy when they were out for a walk together and how much he made them smile. He saw the effect that Sammy had on others and was inspired by it. From that point on, as he continued his usual everyday commute to the office, he also began to share Sammy with the world. He felt that if he did that, he could help others with a guaranteed smile, no matter how bad things were.

“Everybody Loves Sammy” is a labor of love within our family. It is our wish to make a footprint on this life, in the fight for love and compassion for all living things. This is what we pray for. We pray that all living things are given the chance to love and be loved. After all, what else is there?

We pray for a kinder world, a world where our children are safe in their own schools. We pray for an end to hate and ignorance. We pray for the end of sickness and hunger and ask for a return to humanity, above all things.

Special prayers going out tonight for Sweet little “Gidget”, who crossed over to the other side this morning. We pray for her beloved family, our deepest love to Laura. God give them strength at this difficult time. She would have been 14 in June and in Laura’s words she “was loved beyond measure”. God bless that little angel. Prayers also going out to “Tony the truck stop” tiger. May God guide all of those involved to make the best decision on his behalf. Please join us in praying for our friend Heidi, that just endured the loss and the funeral of he beloved cousin. She misses her deeply. For our friend Renee, we pray for her Sisters full recovery. She is presently battling a wdangerous case of the flu. Stay strong Renee. We send love for your Sister. And finally to Marilyn, a beautiful spirit inside and out, you are not alone. People in the hardest times are brought to their knees but God knows they can rise again and that is just when they do. There is a very strong purpose in your life. Please never forget that.

And to all of the beautiful animals inhabiting this earth, domesticated or wild, we pray for you tonight, as we do every night. To those being abused , abandoned, neglected and chained, we pray for a better life for you. We pray for the life that you truly deserve. We hear your voices. We hear your cries. No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen. Love, Sammy & Family

Our minds have no limitations February 21, 2013

402904_581667905196743_1085823891_nGood Morning everyone. “Thursday” has a really nice ring to it right now. The great thing about Thursday is, that its almost Friday. It’s freezing out there, so please stay warm. I have a technique that I use on days like these. No matter how dark or cold it is outside, we have no limitations on our own minds and we can take ourselves anywhere. The mind can be our greatest Ally and it is the one thing in this life that we can control. I’m actually walking to the subway right now but I’m using my own technique. Yes I am on my way to work, but the way I see it, I am walking through a garden filled with flowers and waterfalls. The light is shining on me and I am warm. I am walking through a beautiful path because every day of my life is a journey. I am meant to be here right now, just where I am. Always remember that you are too. No matter what comes your way, your mind holds so many wonderful choices. Have a great day.

Its Wednesday ? February 20, 2013

Prayers for those stuck out in the cold February 19, 2013

16321_580984548598412_325689372_nHello animal lovers. We’ve been getting a lot of prayer request lately, if you think we have missed you, please message us here on Sammy’s page. As always we pray for the animals stuck out there in the cold, we ask for immediate relief. All of them give it everything they got to survive everyday, we pray they are safe, have shelter and a warm place to sleep each night. To all the animals being mistreated or neglected, we remind you how important your lives are to us. We hear your voices, we feel your pain, and you are not alone. We pray for the animal victims of Dog Fighting, Bullfighting, Rooster fighting, bear baiting, and all these other deplorable abuses going on out there. What a disregard for life, completely unacceptable. God did not put these animals in this life to suffer for our amusement. We always pray for Harp Seals, dolphins and whales that forgo some of the most brutal, senseless harm just because people can get away with it. We pray these species have better roads ahead and less suffering starting immediately. No lives go in vain, no pain goes unnoticed. Amen. Love Sammy & Family.

You are not alone February 18, 2013

539706_580538848642982_297188578_nHey there everybody. Hope everyone had a nice long weekend. An unbearably cold weekend here in NY, as well as many parts of the world. Makes us think of the animals running astray out there, must be real hard on them. We ask they find relief starting immediately. For all the animals being neglected and abused, we remind them, they are not alone, their lives mean a great deal to us. We hear their voices and we can feel their pain. We stand with all of them. To the animal victims of these senseless sporting events counting on their anguish and inevitable demise, we pray for better days ahead. You shall have peace in this life or the next and will always be remembered. God did not put these beautiful creatures in this life to suffer for our amusement. Some countries call these events traditions, I will just call them what they are “Atrocities “. No lives will go in vain, no pain will go unnoticed. Amen. Love Sammy & Family.

My Girl February 17, 2013

69220_580096662020534_56650865_nTonight’s Movie Rewrite is ” My Girl “. Before we begin, please take a moment to look at the art created by Alexandra Garcy’s Gallery on Facebook. Alexandra has created a visual solution to our rewrite. Alexandra is Jessica’s 13 year old daughter and Scott’s niece.

Good Evening everyone. Welcome to Movie Rewrites. Tonight we are rewriting “My Girl”. I don’t know about you but the ending of this movie was too painful to me. So we are here to change that for you.

When Veda’s friendship with thomas blossoms, she grows to love him more and more. With that love comes fear as a result of losing her own mother at such a tender young age. She worries a lot about thomas because she knows how severe his allergies are. She goes on a private mission to try and help him. She starts coming home everyday after school and using her fathers basement mortuary to experiment with different plants and herbs she’s been collecting with thomas on their walks in the woods. She works on building a vaccine filled with all natural organic herbs that can counteract any allergic reaction he may have. She knows that her friend Thomas has his worst allergy to Bees, so along with the organic vaccine she creates, she creates a bee net trapper out of an old fishing net that she found in her basement. She designs him a suit out of her late mothers old rain coats and with two hoods facing each other with a built in net in the front of the head, so he would be able to breathe and see and be fully protected by bees at the same time. Once she feels that it might work she starts carrying around her equipment in a backpack for her best and only friend. She never tells him because she knows he doesn’t like when she worries.

When she losses her mood ring in the woods, she is very upset. Thomas is determined to go out and find it because he knows how much it means to her. On that same afternoon, Veda decides to find Thomas and tell him of her discovery. When she goes to his home to find him, he is not there. She runs excitedly down the trail they usually walk together to tell him the news. Just as she is arriving toward the end of the path, she spots Thomas kneeling in the grass. She notices a stirring bee hive and jumps into action with her emergency back pack. She is determined not to lose another person that she loves. She quickly throws the protective suit to thomas and screams to him to put it on. As he’s rushing to put it on she whips our her bee net, climbs the tree and places the net over the whole bee hive. She jumps down and finds thomas in his protective gear, grabs him by the arm and runs home. When they get indoors, she pulls the hood off and pours the anecdote down his throat. By some miracle she had saved his life.

Thomas’s parents are so grateful to Veda that they submit the story of what she created at such a young age and how she saved their son , to the Secretary of State. That night at dinner, she receives a phone call from the president of the United States inviting her to the White House for dinner. They fly her to Washington and she brings Thomas as her date. After meeting with the president he tells her that he will be giving her an honorary awards ceremony for her advancement in the science of allergies and protective gear. She receives worldwide recognition and she and thomas are interviewed by everyone from Oprah to Piers Morgan.

At this point, her life takes on a whole new direction. She speaks all over the world about how love can influence the power of science. She gets book deal after book deal and becomes the youngest member to ever work with top experimental scientists all over the world.

After years of traveling the globe , she decides to slow down. She is now married to thomas with 4 kids, living in a small town and working as the local allergist. Her protective suits are always in her closets as well as the closets of millions all over the world. The end.
The movie still would have been great.
