The Movie Rewrite for “Rocky 3”

Rocky 3 movie rewrite

Did you ever wish in the movie “Rocky 3” that Mickey did Not die “

In the rewrite, after Mickey passes away, Rocky is unable to deal with it. He didn’t think that time would ever heal him either. He needed some hope and to know that one day, he and Mickey would meet again.

At that moment, a bell when off in his head. Rocky remembered that when Ted Williams, the legendary baseball player, passed away, his family had Ted’s body frozen cryogenically. Crazily enough, Rocky decided to have the same thing done to Mickey.  The year was 1982. Fast forward 33 years to 2015, Rocky is now 64 years old. After all those years, not a day goes by when he doesn’t think of Mickey.

On his way home from work one night, Rocky was reminiscing about his famous fight with Mr T.  — While in heavy thought, he goes to call his wife and subconsciously dials Mickeys old number instead.  Micky had accidentally been frozen with his Very Rare Motorola cell phone only for VIP’s  while Rocky was was champ). The phone was left on vibrate at the time of his death. In a fluke electrical surge, the phone began vibrating and cracked the ice in a thousand pieces. Mickey fell right to the floor. Next thing you know, at 112 years old, Mickey stands up with the body and energy of a 25 year old man.

The cryogenic facility suddenly realized they didn’t need to wait for a Medical Breakthrough; it was actual time being frozen that restored a human being to normalcy. Meanwhile, Mickey with his new found youth, goes back into boxing with Rocky as his 61 year old trainer. He then goes onto becoming the Heavyweight Champion of the world at 112 years old and only 89 pounds.

Needless to say, Ted Williams’s family was ecstatic about the news regarding this new medical discovery and what it would mean for them, not to mention Cryogenics as a whole.  The Williams family Had Ted immediately had Ted removed from the ice. . Ted Williams also returned to his roots by going into the baseball business. Teds motives were different then Mickeys though, he actually found baseball very boring.  So this time around Ted was going to try to close the sport down for good. The End… The movie still would’ve been a great.

The Movie Rewrite for “The Life of Pi”

The movie rewrite for "The Life of Pi"

Good evening friends.

Welcome to the movie rewrite for “The Life of Pi.” — Now the truth is “Life of Pi” ended pretty well. But some parts have to be rewritten, which in turn will cause the end to change too.

Pi’s quote; “I was weeping because Richard Parker left me so unceremoniously. It broke my heart. You know my father was right: Richard Parker never saw me as his friend”

So in the Rewrite we’re going to mend Pi’s broken heart. Lets pick it up from the scene where after all the battles with Mother Nature, they finally made it safely to Mexico’s shores.

This is where the Tiger (Richard Parker)  jumps out of the boat and runs directly into the jungle without even glancing back back at Pi. After 227 days at sea, not even a glance.  You can feel the anguish when you think of all that time together at sea.  But we also have to remember what Pi said, “Tending to Richard Parker’s needs gives my life purpose” — And that purpose kept Pi marching forward each day and essentially kept him alive.

Remember, Richard Parker the Tiger grew up in a zoo and while he was always in training, he didn’t  have to fend for his food, it was provided for him.  And despite the magnitude of the shipwreck which set Pi and the Tiger on a 227 day journey, Richard Parker still didn’t have to fend for himself with food, Pi provided it by fishing for both of them.

The tiger finds himself  in the jungles of Mexico alone having to provide for himself for the first time. This was the scariest time in Richard Parker’s life.  Now if you remember in June of 2012, the tiger Vitaly in the movie “Madagascar 3” was always looking out for his circus buddies and was quite the risk taker.  Vitaly was now part of a failing circus that the Madagascar team hooked up with to make another attempt to reach home.  When they escaped the circus they fled to Mexico as well.  It turns out Vitaly and the gang were hiding out in the same Mexican Jungle that Richard Parker now finds himself in.  Being the Madagascar Crew had been there a few months already they helped provide Richard Parker with food.

Within a few weeks, Vitaly and Richard Parker were best friends. After all, they are both tigers and both grew up in a zoo entertaining people from near and far. So being the brave tiger that Vitaly likes to be, he suggests to Richard Parker they head to Hollywood to put their skills at use.  Vitaly was a smooth talker so took the role of the manager, and Richard Parker would be the actor.

When they got to Hollywood Vitaly  immediately gets Richard Parker the tiger an agent.  The agent sends Richard Parker on a call for a Frosted Flakes commercial, only now they wanted a real life Tony the Tiger actor instead of just the cartoon we’ve all grown accustomed to.  Low and behold, Richard Parker was a natural entertainer and a perfect fit. Richard Parker got so comfortable in his role, he suggested to Frosted Flake Cereal company that their slogan should be; “Have Frosted Flakes for breakfast and give your life purpose”

Needless to say that slogan became the main tagline for Frosted Flakes Cereal across the world. Eventually Pi caught wind of all this media surrounding the New Tiger’s face and tag line for for Frosted Flakes and realized it was Richard Parker.

Now at this point , Pi is a middle aged man living in Canada with his own family. Eventually, while The Frosted Flakes company was touring the world with their new ad campaign, they made their way to Canada; “eh” lol.  Slang joke right there.

Pi made sure to be at the location he heard the Cereal gang was coming to.  When he saw Pi after all this time he heart was pounding.  As Pi approached the Tiger Richard Parker, Richard ran up to him and said; “your father was wrong, I did see you as my friend, I didn’t look back because i saw the two Japanese investigators approaching from a far to rescue you.  I didn’t want to be captured and killed”  — Pi felt the weight of the world just unravel off his shoulders.

Pi looked Richard straight in the eyes and said; ” How did you come up with that slogan: “Have Frosted Flakes for breakfast and give your life Purpose?”  Richard Parker said; “I got it from you Pi, I knew that keeping me alive took you into adulthood and gave your life purpose”

The End…..  The Movie Still would’ve been great.

The Movie Rewrite for “Thelma and Louise”

Thelma & Louise

Did you ever wish the movie “Thelma and Louise” ended differently ?

In the Rewrite, when they drive off the cliff, Thelma and Louise at exactly the precise time and altitude pulled their hidden parachutes and land on the border of Mexico.

After weeks of migrating, they were introduced to the late Mexican American Actor, Anthony Quinn’s son and daughter. The Quinn’s were in pre-development mode for their new movie company. They made an offer to Thelma and Louise because of their American backgrounds.

The four of them hatched the new Movie Company called “Amexico Studios” — Meanwhile, back over the border in the USA, the character that Brad Pitt played gets charged with burglary for what he stole from Thelma (Geena Davis).  As a result, he then also flees to Mexico.

Crazily enough, when looking for work, the Brad Pitt guy answers an ad for a movie company looking for a lead Actor in their first movie “If Anthony Quinn were alive today”  —  When the Brad Pitt guy showed up for the audition, the room was dead silent because of his actions back in the states.  Fortunately, Thelma and Louise believed in forgiveness.  After all, they had made a ton of mistakes also.  So Amexico Studios gives the Brad Pitt guy a break and gives him the leading role. For the sake of Karma, the Brad Pitt guy returns the money that he stole from Thelma and Louise.

Meanwhile, the Film “If Anthony Quinn were still Alive” wins Best Global Picture of year and the Brad Pitt Guy wins the award for Best Actor.   As a result of all the success, The USA pardons Thelma and Louise, as well as the Brad Pitt guy and invites them back to the states.  Ironically, the three of them declined and decided to stay in Mexico.

I guess this what Christopher Cross meant in the 1980 song, “Ride like the Wind”, when he sang the lyrics, ♫♫♫ And I’ve got such a long way to go (such a long way to go) to make it to the border of Mexico ♫♫♫

The End…. The movie still would’ve been great.

The Movie Rewrite for “Forrest Gump”

Forrest Gump

Did you ever wish the movie “Forrest Gump” ended differently ?

Hi and Welcome to the Movie Rewrite of Forrest Gump. If the term “ Trials and Tribulations “ ever suited someone, it would be Forrest Gump. What a full life of ups and downs he experienced. Everyone in life goes through things, but Forrest having been challenged physically with his legs as a kid, and having a very hard time learning in school had it even tougher. From the early days when kids picked on him, to being an outcast in college, not being with Jenny (the love of his life ), the Vietnam War and so on and so on. His life was almost too much for anyone to endure.

Let’s ease some of his pain. Forrest was born in 1944 in Greenbow Alabama, and at the age of 24 years old, he came across a book named “CHAЯLY “ in 1968. This book was about a mentally challenged man who underwent a surgical procedure that was increasing intelligence in mice. Forrest immediately went to California to speak to the person who wrote the book. He desperately wanted to know if it was based on a true story. Upon meeting the Author of the book, he was heartbroken to know it was fiction. Nonetheless the author pointed Forrest in the direction of a biotechnology company that specializes in altering Personal Genomics.

He pledged to the company to use him as an experiment, and if it goes badly, Forrest assumes all the risk. After all, Forrest had just spent several years in the Vietnam War, an experiment to enrich is life was not about to turn him away. The company agrees. They gave Forrest the same surgical procedure as the mice, and after a few days in ICU, he returns to Alabama.

Within 90 days of back to reality life, Forrest’s thought processes ramped up considerably. Not only did he know what love is, but he can speak of it and express it. He immediately goes to see Jenny and tells her of this miraculous change. He then explains to her what he has tried to say for a lifetime but has been unable to express. Jenny is dumbfounded and in total shock. She sees the difference in an instant, and realizes the reformed Forrest is the man of her dreams. Her only question now is; will the experiment last or will or wear off ?, Forrest answers the question by quoting his mother; “ Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get “

She acknowledged his point; love is worth the risk of the unknown. Now that Jenny and Forrest are together, there is no reason for her to fall into a life of drugs and promiscuity during the 1970’s where she was infected with HIV. Being she avoided that demise, Forrest, Jenny and little Forrest were cleared for take-off into a life of happiness and Joy.

The Gump family had such gratitude for their lives they wanted to give back. As we all remember Forrest invested in a Fruit Company called “ Apple Computer “ and became a gazillionaire. With this wealth, the Gumps funded that same bio tech company that gave Forrest a whole new life so they can do the same for countless others. Forrest and Jenny also decided to donate fortunes to ” The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation ” to help fight poverty and disease in Africa and other parts of the world.

Who would’ve ever thought a fictional book can change people’s lives around the world. Lieutenant Dan took his part of the Apple fortune, and invested in a Titanium Start up company for animals. This company specializes in giving quality of life back to handicapped animals. Lieutenant Dan always remembered how Titanium put him back on his feet to walk again.

The End….. The movie still would have been great.

The Movie Rewrite for “Million Dollar Baby”

The movie rewrite for "Million Dollar Baby"

Did you ever wish the movie “Million Dollar Baby” ended differently ?

Great movie, but very disturbing how it all unraveled. We’re are going to Rewrite that. What the movie forgets to mention is the actress that Hillary Swank played grew up on Martial Arts.  She had professional training going ten years back from one of best Martial Arts instructors in the world, Mr. Miyagi. After those ten years, the Hillary Actress was no longer a student; she too was a master of martial arts.

The most important lesson she learned from her Karate Instructor was; Never Take your eyes off your opponent, never.  As a matter of fact, Mr. Miyagi used to have her walk around with pictures of the people she would fight to ensure she never took her eyes off of them. He beat this principle to death and she never forgot it.

During those ten years women boxing started to rise in popularity, and this peaked he Hillary character’s interest. Problem was she had no boxing experience what so ever. Being from a small town and all, there was only one dinky boxing gym around. Clint Eastwood ran the place. He immediately said to her “I don’t train women”. But he did offer her job because she needed some work. After several months, Clint realized this young gal had a heart of a lion, like Rocky Balboa you might say. He didn’t see that with any of the men he trained. The one thing you need in boxing is heart. With heart and passion, you can even beat the boxers that are more talented than you.

Clint finally gave in and trained her to box with skill and technique. Between that, her martial arts background, and her heart of a lion, the Hillary Swank character was knocking people out left and right. She became an overnight legend in the female boxing world.

Clint finally said, “I got you a shot at the title fight. This is your time”. Hillary and Clint went into hardcore training now. He sets up a championship fight for her against the WBA women’s welterweight champion, Billie “The Blue Bear”, a German ex-prostitute who has a reputation as a dirty fighter. It was a million dollar fight. Money the Hillary Swank character could not possibly fathom.

Within a few rounds, the Hillary Swank character had complete control of the fight. It was clear she was going to win the Championship in just moments. Even Billie “The Blue Bear” saw her demise coming.

When the rounded ended before the last one was about to begin, as they both returned to their corners, Hillary, as she had been doing the whole fight, walked backwards to her corner always remembering what Mr. Miyagi said, “Never take your eyes off your opponent”. Still, Billie “The Blue Bear” known for her dirty fighting, before the last round even started, came and attacked Hillary in her own corner to try to weaken her a little before the last round.

The Hillary character said to herself, Billie the Blue Bear had a very tough life and boxing was all she had. So once the crowed pulled Billie off of the Hillary Swank character, she had a moment of clarity and compassion. Hillary walked over to Billie’s side of the ring and said, “I could never make it another round. You’re the best fighter I’ve ever fought, I surrender”  So Billie “The Blue Bear” remained the champ. People were in shock.

Clint offered the Hillary character a full time assistant job to him. Her job was to teach his men fighters to have that heart, that unexplainable heart that makes a lessor fighter, beat a better fighter. Clint called it The Rudy Ruettiger Principal. This principal was based off a student of Notre Dame whose dream was to make the football team despite being small and having no skills what so ever.  But Rudy had a heart of a giant. When he took to the field, he felt taller then anyone. He was pure heart. And that is what Clint felt about Hillary, she was pure heart. And while you can’t teach that, if people see it long enough, it just might rub off on them.

Back to Billie “The Blue Bear” now, the ex German Prostitute was stunned by what Hillary did for her in that last round. The world never showed her any kindness or compassion before. That experience changed her forever.  She resigned from boxing and opened clinics all over the world for people who also felt unloved.  She let them know they have a place to come where people do care about them.

The end…. The movie still would have been great.

The Movie Rewrite for “Big”

The Movie Rewrite for "Big"

Tonight’s Movie Rewrite is ” BIG ” with Tom Hanks.

Our good friend Linda Robinson stepped up to the stage. I was quite taken aback when I read. This is one very creative gal. So she starts off with a synopsis and then does the Rewrite. Very impressive.

Synopsis;

Big” is a 1988 fantasy comedy which stars Tom Hanks as 12-year old Josh Basking and Elizabeth Perkins as Susan Lawrence. At a carnival, Josh puts a coint into an unusual antique fortune teller machine called Zoltar Speaks. He wishes to be “big.” The next morning he awakes to find himself in the body of a 30-year old man.

He goes back to the plaza where the machine was, only to discover both it and the carnival are gone. With the help of his best friend, Billy Kopecki (Jared Rushton), Josh flees to New York City and rents a room in a flop house and gets a job at the MacMillan Toy Company.  By chance, Josh meets the toy company’s owner, Mr. MacMillan (Robert Loggia at the FAO Schwarz toy store. They play a duet together on the foot operated electronic keyboard. Mr. MacMillan is impressed with Josh and his knowledge of toys, and promotes him from mail clerk to a dream job.  He gets to play with and evaluate toys all day long and is well-paid for it.

Susan Lawrence is attracted to him and a romance ensues. Susan’s jerk of a boyfriend, Paul Davenport (John Heard), is most annoyed by this and is jealous of Josh’s overnight success with the company. Eventually, the pressures of being an adult –holding a job and having a romance with a grown, sophisticated woman– begin to wear on Josh, and he wants to go back to being 13 again. He had celebrated his 13th birthday in New York.

Billy helps him find where Zoltar Speaks is now located, and Josh walks out of a company meeting where he is supposed to present a proposal for a new line of toys. Susan knows something is wrong, and runs into Billy who tells her where Josh is. Josh finds Zoltar Speaks and inserts the coin into the machine and wishes to be a kid again. Susan finally believes what Josh has been trying to tell her for awhile…that he is just a 13-year old kid. He asks her to put in a coin and wish to be a kid and come back with him, but she refuses. Instead, she drives him home and as he walks away from her car, he turns back into the boy he actually is.

The Rewrite Begins now;

Susan does insert the coin into Zoltar Speaks and at the car, they both turn into children again. Coincidentally, Susan’s parents recently moved about four houses down from Josh. While Josh reunites with his parents, she visits hers, and tells them the incredible story. She sends Mr. MacMillan a note and tells him not to worry; that she is fine but had to go away, and she will see him in about 10 years.

Susan and Josh finish growing up together, and are inseparable childhood, high school and college sweethearts. Both do well at college, and upon graduation, they marry and both go to work at MacMillan Toy Company. Mr. MacMillan is about ready to retire, and Josh and Susan are able to buy the company, which becomes great and famous throughout the world.

Part of the reason they are so successful is that they pay no attention to statistical analysis, but only manufacture toys which are fun for the children who will play with them. They are philanthropists and make it their mission to see that eve5ry child gets at least one toy for Christmas, and that every baby has its own teddy bear. Because their toys are innovative and take advantage of emerging technology they attract the interest of other fields. NASA uses some of their designs in sleek and smaller spaceships which greatly reduces the cost of space travel, and eventually, tourists are able to choose whether they want to vacation on the Moon or on Mars. Surgeons use their miniaturization techniques and make great advances in microsurgery.

Josh and Susan have five children, most of whom turn out to be leaders in their chosen fields and great humanitarians. One of them finds a cure for all forms of cancer. Another becomes president of the United States. A third becomes a famous writer. The fourth becomes a world renowned veterinarian, and invents a pill that when taken by a dog or cat, immediately sterilizes them, with no side effects. The eventual result of this is that the unwanted pet population is reduced to zero, puppy mills are put out of business, and every available dog and cat is in a safe, loving home. The fifth child becomes a well-known home builder and discovers a way to build homes with minimal impact to the environment, energy efficient and they cost about one-fourth of what a home normally costs, but are 10 times better, because of his construction methods.

Oh…and Susan’s old boyfriend stays with the company, but he is demoted to a position in the accounting department and handles accounts payable.

The End……The Movie still would’ve been great.

The Movie Rewrite for “The Titanic”

The movie rewrite for The Titanic

This is the Movie Rewrite for  “Titanic”  It’s a Quick and Must read. Some have said it’s the most revolutionary writing since Ink was created.

In the Rewrite, Jack and rose both survive the crash of the Titanic. They ended up getting married and having 3 kids. After surviving the disaster, the family becomes obsessed with studying the original Titanic and why it sank. Years later, they built a “New Titanic”, but even bigger this time, with no mistakes. It’s literally unbreakable.

Additionally, Jack and Rose did away with the “Steerage” section. The new Titanic was all one section now. Still being very sensitive to the way steerage was treated, anybody that acted like a snob, was put on an unmanned dingy, (a dingy drone if you will ) and brought to shore. Once the snob arrived on shore, he or she was required to take a class with respect toAnimal Welfare & Rescue before returning home. The business was such a success that the family built 50 more ships and now call their cruise-liner company, “The Titanic Express”

In order to board any of the ships you needed two things, firstly, an affordable ticket. Secondly, you had to raise your right hand and swear, “I am not a jerk. “ Not only did the new company become a benchmark for safety in the shipping world, but they led the charge in animal equality around the world. As a matter of fact, several of their ships were sent to Canada to combat seal hunting, other ships sent to Japan to fight dolphin and whale slaughters.

The End…. The movie still would’ve been great.

The Movie Rewrite for “Gone With The Wind”

The Movie Rewrite for "Gone With The Wind"

Welcome to the Movie Rewrite for “Gone With The Wind”

If you step back for a moment from the epic nature of this movie, it really was about a horribly dysfunctional relationship that in modern times would have come to an end and both parties would have moved on.

MOVIE REWRITE —

So let’s start out with the Movie “Back to the Future” from 1985. Remember the Doctor that created time travel with his Delorean Car? — Well that Doctor was always obsessed with the Movie “Gone with the Wind” and was not happy how it ended.

He decided to time travel back to 1939 when the movie was made to find Rhett Butler just after his timeless quote, “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn”. The Dr. offered Rhett an immediate way out of his turbulent life once and for all.

Rhett knew he needed a complete revamping of his life and figured he could use all the karma he can get. Being Rhett is a “Risk Taking” type of guy, he jumps into the car with the Doctor and they time travel back to the 1970’s.

The Doctor thought this would be a good place for Rhett to start because there was a big movement going on back then called “Erhard Seminars Training”, officially known as The “EST Standard” — They specialized in helping people see life from a clear perspective.

Rhett spent two weeks in the program. He learned about self actualization and development for happiness. He saw the world in a whole new light. He told the Doctor from “Back to the Future” that he would like to stay in the 1970’s and start a brand new life.

Rhett was such a big hit amongst the people in his new Era that the “Bee Gees” offered him a spot as their fourth singer. Rhett turned it down. He didn’t want anymore drama in his life and going on the road was just too much. He was looking to settle down with a nice gal that would love him in return. Months later, Rhett was introduced to a very sweet, up and comer from Australia, named Olivia Newton John.

It was love at first sight. They picked up and moved to Australia to do the whole “family and kids” thing. After several years in Australia, Olivia and Rhett took over a famous Zoo named after the late great Steve Irwin, also known as the “Crocodile Hunter” — That was just Steve’s nickname of course. Nobody was a better friend to all species than Steven Irwin.

The Zoo became a huge success and set the bar for animal kindness across the glob. Rhett looked over at his family, then the zoo and whispered to himself, “Not bad for a man who came all the way from The Civil War Era” — Rhett finally had the peace he was longing for since the day he left the South.

Now let rewind back to Scarlett O’hara when she says  at the end of the movie “Tomorrow is another day” — Scarlet turned out be very right. She learned some valuable lessons during those years.

1.  She needed to deal with her addiction to chaos.

2.  Her dad was wrong. Land means nothing if you don’t have a life to build on it.

3.  Don’t be in a marriage unless you are sure who you want to be married to.

4.  Don’t be in a serious relationship until you know who you are. As a result of these lessons, Scarlet learned to live more in the present and less in her head. Years later she married the Head Plantation worker on her land whom she always had a crush on.

I guess this is what Barry Manilow meant in 1978 when he sang,  ♫♫♫ Ready To Take a Chance Again ♫♫♫

The End. The Movie still would’ve been great.

The Movie Rewrite for “Pay It Forward”

The Movie Rewrite for "Pay It Forward"

The Movie Rewrite for “Pay It Forward”

Let’s start with a quick snapshot. Pay it forward is a great concept and would do a lot of good for this world. Imagine if each one of us woke up everyday and said to ourselves, “Self, let’s express 3 acts of random kindness to 3 people in need. What a wonderful world that would be. Now add on top of that, the 3 people you helped would go out there and help 3 random people also. Just visualize that for a moment; “positive acts growing exponentially through the veins of society.” I guess it’s true what they say, “People have the Power.” So that’s our take away message for this movie. Great message but certainly did not have to end that way.

The Rewrite begins now:

To start with, this is the same kid from the movie, “The Sixth Sense” from 1999. His famous line in the move was, “I see dead people.” So, he already has a tendency to think about death and we know that people attract what they think (Laws of Attraction). So, let’s change that. Being “Pay it Forward” was made in 2000, this kid had a full year to learn to think differently. Between therapy and hypnosis, he had visions of being a superhero for kids being bullied and random acts of kindness, where he thought people were deserving and worthy. Now, if you remember in “Pay it Forward,” the kid’s best friend was very asthmatic and got picked on a lot; not a happy life for his friend. Luckily for that friend, the “Sixth Sense” star went to see his best friend’s allergist to pay it forward. The allergist had such gratitude for his new outlook that he swore the next time that he saw his asthmatic friend he would help him. With that, the allergist gave the friend an inhalator that neutralized his asthma and released steroids into the body, causing a temporary strength to the level of the Hulk.

Now, let’s fast forward to the end of movie when the 3 bullies pick on his friend again. His friend starts panicking upon their arrival and takes a breath from his new inhalator. His asthma and his demeanor immediately change. He notices his new found strength and immediately repeats a quote from the 1993 movie, “A Bronx Tale” and says, “Now yous can’t leave.” The 3 bullies are in shock at how the tables have changed. But the Hulk-like figure shows mercy towards them and pays it forward to them. While this is going on, the “Sixth Sense” kid sees it from afar. When he noticed that his friend flipped the script on those 3 kids, he cruised home peacefully with no harm. As a result of the mercy shown, The 3 bullies became role models for “bullying bullies.” And the trickle down effect took place. There were less and less bullies everyday.

So in conclusion, we have a “win win” situation as described below.

We have exponential growth of positive “Pay it forwards” going on at all times, growing bigger and bigger.

And we have the “Bully the bullies” movement going on, until the growth rate of bullies was Zero.

The End….. The movie still would have been great.
