Three Hearts Beat as One

Kelly and three hearts

Good morning friends. As you can see Kelly has three hearts in mind.  One for Sammy, one for Henry and one for Patreeko.  There’s a lot of love in this household.

Now if i may go on an A.D.D. tangent for 30 seconds, I would like to twist up the lyrics of two songs.

The lyrics from U2 when they sing ♫♫♫ Two Hearts Beat as One ♫♫♫

Let’s revise that to; ♫♫♫ Three Hearts Beat as one ♫♫♫

And the lyrics from The Doors when they sang ♫♫♫ Love me Two times, I’m gone away ♫♫♫

Let’s revise that to; ♫♫♫ Love me Three times, I’m gone away ♫♫♫

Never Judge a Book by it’s Cover

Never judge a book by it's cover

Good morning friends.

Did you ever try to take a picture of 5 people with 5 dogs standing only 3 feet back ?

The entire room was in a state of disarray.  We took 100 pictures and this was the best we got.  I kid you not, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas could not  have pulled this off.

Vanessa took this picture and basically was leaning back on one leg, using one arm to get it done.  It might not be a great picture quality wise, but the execution of the picture was artistic.

Hey man, when it comes to family, if you gotta bob and weave, you bob and weave.  On the left is Myriam, Raquel’s twin sister, and Vanessa’s younger sister, then comes Jorge, he’s big Papa, on the floor in the middle is Myriam’s son Raymond, in the middle of the couch with Henry on his lap, is Mryiam’s husband Raymond, yes his name is Raymond also.  On the far right with Sammy on one leg, and Patrick on the other leg staring at his human is the lethally handsome Scott Smith.

And friends with that, happy Sunday Funday.  Signing off for the morning and afternoon on day 78 in Puerto Rico, Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.

Dinner Talk With Sammy & Family

Dinner talk with Sammy & Family

Good evening friends.

Once again Friday always seem to show right on time.  Its great to be here with everyone.  My favorite part of each day is checking in with all of our friends in the mornings and touching base again in the evenings.

The mornings we all pump each other up for the day, and in the evenings on ELS, it’s kind of like families that gather around the dinner table where each family member has to say something about their day.

So I will start.  Today, woke up and had two hazelnut flavored coffee, then like everyday, immediately regretted it because then my hands shake for two hours.  Then i take care of all the posting throughout all our social platforms and website. After that, I take all the dogs outside, first Sammy & Jeffrey, then Kelly, Patrick and Henry together.

Then i usually tell Jorge, Vanessa’s dad that I am exhausted as if i put in a real hard day.  After a 30 minute rest, i usually start working the platforms and website again.

Then i annoy Vanessa to leave work early everyday for at least two hours.  Then the next morning, I hit the replay button and pretty much do the exact same thing.  It might now sound sexy, but its peaceful and I’m happy.

How was your day friends ?

Signing off from Puerto Rico on Day 76, Dr. Harp Seal for Sammy & Family.

Who is Dr. Harp Seal ?

Here’s a video about Dr. Harp Seal.  Below the Video is a text version.

Good afternoon friends. So the Question arises one again. Who is Dr. Harp Seal ?

From the time Sammy was a baby, he had an amazing ability to make people happy. People from all walks of life, and people in all different kinds of moods, took to him. He reminded me of a doctor because doctors make people feel better. Secondly, I have always felt a tremendous amount of compassion for Harp Seals, well any seals for that matter and the hunts that go on with them.  I won’t get into detail here.  Lastly, Sammy looks like a harp seal, as we have all seen.

So, Dr. Harp Seal was morphed out that information, and he’s a keeper. Nothing feels better or more real then creating something out of the experiences of one’s own life. Dr. Harp Seal was born just that way. Let me leave you with this, Dr. Harp Seal represents animal kindness across all species. His mantra is: Animal Equality; A tireless Journey. There will be no retreat.

Have a great day.

Happy Birthday Sammy

Sammy turns 10 years old

Good morning friends.

We want to wish a Happy Birthday to Sammy, Deb Tsoi, Jessi Mantay and Stacy Shack.  #GoPisces.

It’s a very special day for Sammy & Family.  Sammy turns 10 years old today.  We wish him a fantastic day and many more birthdays to come.  I am going to share a little story of Sammy & I now.

So in 2004 I had a break up after a 5 year relationship.  I Was pretty down and out to say the least.  A few months later a friend of mine introduced me to this young gal from out of town.  Much younger then me, normally I never rolled that way.  But like I said, I was pretty down those days. Point being, I said to my friend, sure why not.  Turns out the young gal and I to some degree hit it off and went with it.  Within in a few months, she said to me, I saw a dog today on 13th street and 6th avenue and I want to bring him home.  Having grown up with dogs, I said absolutely yes.    Continue reading

Jennifer and family for Throwback Thursday

Jennifer & Family for Throwback Thursday

Good morning friends.

Today we have Jennifer Bloetjes Cusack with her two lovely kids and Sammy wishing us all a great Thursday.  This picture is from June of 2013.  It was a beautiful day.  As you can see in the back right is our friend Karen holding Henry, the Soldier of Love.

We had many friends come see us that day in Central Park.  And here we are in 2015 and the journey continues and keeps getting better.  Jennifer and family are still great friends to Sammy & Family.

Have a fantastic Throwback Thursday sweet people.

Good evening on a Monday in March

Goodnight on March 10th, 2015

Good evening friends.

Day 58 here in Puerto Rico. Its good to be here with everyone.  Its funny, I always felt the work week started on a Tuesday.  Usually when i got home after work on a Monday, I would say to myself  “Is it still the weekend or did I just get home from work?”

Speaking of the work week, a little tangent here, forgive me.  Its a business tip.  So Tuesday the brain actually recognizes and accepts we are back at work.  By the time Wednesday comes around we are in the full swing of things.  So what’s the tip ?  The tip is, when you want to get business or anything else done, get it done Wednesday morning.  Because that is the morning the plane is about to take off.

OK, sorry.  Back to Sammy & Family.  So this weekend we actually cancelled Sammy’s haircut.  The little guy wasn’t feeling so good.  The last thing he needed was to be on his feet for two hours in a standstill position.

So we are scheduled for a grooming on Thursday.  We will have some great pictures for his birthday on Saturday morning.   The big ten years old. Thank God when I look back on the last ten years with him, I can say i have given him and continue to give him a great life.  I never did the wrong thing to him or for him.  Even during my wild years, I would have died before i put him in harms way.  Sammy through his whole life was never left alone, never, never ever.

The Moment of Truth

Good evening friends.

In light of Throwback Thursday we figured to break out “The Moment of Truth” video again.  This is where it all began. The journey still continues today.

Sammy & Family — A Story of Triumph

Sammy & Family, A Story of Triumph

Good evening friends.

Hope everyone had a nice Wednesday.  Its funny, with the nice weather my boys are breathing better, not sure if that’s in my head, but it appears to be the case.

I just want to say that Vanessa, Raquel, Myriam and their dad are some of the best people I’ve ever met.  I will never forget how this family has backed me up from several years ago until this present day.

I remember i was going to walk away from the Sammy Community after what was taken from Jessica and I in the last project.  I was in complete disgust and shock.   Had Jessica not convinced me to stay with the project  knowing it was a major passion of mine, i was throwing in the towel. With that said, it was not easy working together.   Jess has four kids and i have 3 dogs, two completely different lives and very little in common.

That is where Vanessa and Raquel came in.  The behind the scenes work these two have done allowed me to keep driving ELS and Dr. Harp Seal down the field.

When I think if Jess didn’t force me back to the project, and if Vanessa and Raquel didn’t do all they did, I probably would’ve never met all of you from all over the world.   And that my friends, would’ve been my loss, big time.

As i I look back on all that was taken from Jess and I, and how i almost lost Sammy, I can’t begin to tell you how grateful i am to have come this far with all of you.

Touchdown in Puerto Rico

Good morning friends.

We landed safely in Puerto Rico yesterday.  All things considering the boys did great on the plane.   It turns out Vanessa and her dad rescued a dog named Jefferey two months ago.  So this is the house list now, Vanessa, her dad, me, Sammy, Henry, Patrick, Kelly and Jeffery.  Now if you asked me what my dream was at 5 years old, i would have said; ” my dream is to live in a house with 5 dogs”   — Dream Achieved :)

Happy Monday.
